She described staff and volunteers working through a rainstorm hours before the event to get the property ready.
The piece also included remarks from Deschutes County Commissioner Phil Chang, who helped identify the Wickiup Junction site, and La Pine Mayor Jeannine Earles, who thanked FFAH for the project. It recapped the four-phase build-out: Phase 1’s 39 completed units (ten for veterans), Phase 2’s 41 apartments coming in summer 2027, and Phase 3’s 21 senior units in 2028.
